JADRANKA STOJAKOVIĆ - Putovanja (1973) EP

JADRANKA STOJAKOVIĆ is a Bosnian singer-songwriter popular in the former Yugoslavia, known for her unique, beautiful voice. Born in Sarajevo to a family of school teachers (her father is from Doboj, her mother from Dalmatia), Jadranka's first years were spent in a small village near Bosanski Novi where her parents got assigned to teach. Her parents soon divorced and she moved with her mother to Sarajevo, before soon continuing on to Dubrovnik, Gradac na Moru, Vareš, small towns which experienced shortages of primary school teachers where her mother would get work. They eventually settled in various villages around Sarajevo, which is where Jadranka spent a notable part of her childhood. At the age of 16, Jadranka Stojaković joined her uncle Vukašin Radulović's jazz group and performed with them throughout the country as well other parts of Europe (mostly Germany). In 1981 she sang backing vocals with Ismeta Dervoz for Yugoslav representative Vajta at the 1981 Eurovision Contest in Ireland. In 1984, when the Winter Olympics were held in her native Sarajevo, she sang the official theme song of the Games. Around that time, she was awarded the prize given to Yugoslavia's best artist. She was among the country's most talented and admired singers and songwriters. Since 1988, Jadranka Stojaković mostly resides in Japan. This is her first EP from 1973. (from wikipedia)

GJURMET - Gjurmet (1982-88)

GJURMET was formed in 1980, in Priština by Migjen Kelmendi (vocals, rhythm guitar), the son of the writer and journalist Ramiz Kelmendi, inspired by new wave music. The lineup also included Armando Gjini (piano, synthesizer), Tomor Kurshumliu (vocals, bass guitar), Petrit Riza (drums) and Bekim Dyla (lead guitar). During the same year, the band recorded the first new wave song in SAP Kosovo (in former Yugoslavia). In 1984, the band recorded the material for their debut album, however, it was during 1985 that the album was released. The reason for the delay of the release was the controversial album cover which featured dancers performing the traditional Albanian "Eagle dance", making a shape of a double-headed eagle with their posture. Eventually, the album was released by Radio Television of Priština, on compact cassette only, and featured the band photo on the front cover on which Kelmendi is looking at his wrist watch as a comment on the release delay. The album featured a combination of new wave, post-punk and folk music. The following year, in 1986, the band disbanded. In 2002, a compilation album "LP" featuring a collection of material the band had recorded in the course of the 1980s had been released.
