ISKRE - Stalaktit (Sve EPY ploče 1964-1965)
ISKRE was formed in 1961, in Beograd, Serbia (ex-Yugoslavia) by the students Slavoljub Bogdanović (rhythm guitar), Miloš Sekulić (guitar), Gligorije Milanović (bass guitar), and Draško Reljin (drums). The band choose their name after Iskra amplifiers (originally designed for movie theaters) they used at the beginning of their career. The band started their career by playing instrumentals inspired by the music of The Tornados, and soon achieved notable popularity. They often performed at pop concerts and dances and appeared on Radio Belgrade. Iskre were one of the first Yugoslav bands that appeared on recordings by pop music singers: they recorded with Zafir Hadžimanov (covers of Cliff Richard songs), Ivanka Pavlović, Zoran Rambosek, and others. During 1963 Iskre often performed with female vocalist Brankica Sučević (an official member of Safiri). The band wanted to record their debut EP with her, but the editors of Diskos record label insisted that the band record the EP with the then-popular female singer Ivanka Pavlović. The EP with songs "Mala Šeila", "Locomotion", "Peppermint Twist", and "Slušaj pesmu" was eventually released under Ivanka Pavlović's name only. The EP soon became the second best-selling Yugoslav pop music record (behind Nikola Karović's "Mala Grkinja"). After the recording of the EP Milanović left the band, and was replaced by Dragan Mirković. In January 1964 the band won the first place at the "Parada ritma" festival held at Dom sindikata. Several months later they held their first solo concert at Kolarac People's University, and soon after released their official debut EP, with songs "Stalaktit" (a cover of a Les Aiglons song), "Šeba", "Rock za dobro jutro" and "Zvončići". After the release of the EP Mirković left the band, and was replaced by a former Siluete and Lutalice member Branko Gluščević. During 1965 they recorded two EPs, both featuring four songs, three of them being instrumental tracks. They appeared in Toma Janjić's film "Glasam za ljubav", becoming the first Yugoslav rock band to appear on film. At this time the band's popularity declined, due to the popularity of new rock genres. The band started covering Macedonian traditional songs, but did not see expected success. During January and February 1966 they performed at Belgrade Gitarijada where they won the fifth place. STOP - Labirint (1979) Single
STOP originated in Zagreb, the capitol of Croatia, in 1978 and has been active with it's current membership for the past 10 years.the group consits of lead guitarist Nikola Sarapa also the founder and leader of the band, drummer Goran Markić, bass player Ivica Mikšić, and singer Ervin Baučić, the group's main focus is on the perfomance of big hard-rock hits oflate sixties (i.e. Jimi Hendrix, cream, etc.) but they also play classic rock and roll and blues. The group has thus for recorted one maxy single and six albums, in addition to holding hundreds of live performances throughout Croatia, former Yugoslavia, Italy, Austria and Germany. The group has gained a formidable reputation and popularity over the years with the devotees of original hard rock.especially noteworthy are group's signature takes of Jimi Hendrix's hits. Finally, I should also mention of successful live TV performances during the group's long existence. While the true fans of this music still exist in these parts of the world, the style has udeniably lost a lot of general popularity over the years and the market for it has been declining steadily. The members of STOP on the other hand may be getting older, but they feel like they've got a few more years left in the tank and are eager to show it.T his goes especially for the lead guitarist Nikola Sarapa, who is truly unique talent that makes this band what it is. TOP GENERATION - Top Generation (1969-1972)
TOP GENERATION (who started out as "Korali" and later on "Generacija") was a rock band from Maribor (Slovenia) who extensively toured Central Europe in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Amongst themselves, they made a distinction between The Beatles and The Rolling Stones’ followers. But unquestionably a fact remains that they were the first and leading beatniks in Slovenia. This is their recordings from 1969-1972.

SONČNA POT - Sončna pot (1979)
SONČNA POT was one of the first groups in Yugoslavia to introduce ethno-fusion jazz elements. A short-lived trio consisting of saxophonist and composer Lado Jakša (ex-Predmestje, ex-Sedmina, ex-Buldožer), drummer Ratko Divjak (ex-Time) and jazz bassist Jordan Gančev. TROBECOVE KRUŠNE PEĆI - 85 (1985)
TROBECOVE KRUŠNE PEĆI was the cult band from Zagreb (Croatia), in the beginning of the 80's, distinctive not only for its bizarre name (inspired by incinerators which served Slovenian serial killer from mid 70's, Metod Trobec) but also because of its intensive, concrete and noisy variation of rock and roll music. "Trobecove krušne peći are equally illogical, radical, innocent and rough, and they expect the same from you. They're getting hold of unusual obsessions and tensions from reality, only to distort them even further and turn them into tauntingly important remarks" (Polet, April 27th 1983). In 1985, in Ljubljana they recorded material for their debut album that has never been released during the time the band was active.
